April 2013 Pictures!

Well, we kind of forgot to take pictures in April. We were very busy running around and doing things. We did have a very snowy April this year. Over 21 inches of snow in total. We are glad May is finally here. The kids are starting to play more and more in the backyard and we have already BBQ a few times. We are also looking forward to Memorial Day weekend. We always have a lot of fun. This year, we will have one set of grandparents in town. Should be lots of fun. June will be a busy month too. The kids will be finishing school, so camping and hiking season begins for us. We will also have the other set of grandparents in town, Kylie will turn 9, and we will take a vacation towards the end of the month. We will take more pictures next time for sure.

March 2013 Pictures!

March was another fun month. Early in the month we had Austin's 7th birthday. He had some friends over for cake and presents. He made sure his friends knew what he wanted. So, he got some 20 airplanes in total. He is already looking forward to his 8th birthday, which is a big one. We finally got some big snows too. We had 3 storms, one of which dumped one foot of snow. The others were 10" inches each. But, here in Denver, the snow melts quickly and Spring is finally here. So, Jason has been learning to ride his bike. He has no fear. April will be fun with Easter, warmer weather, etc.

February 2013 Pictures!

February is usually the most boring month of the year. Not a lot of snow, but very cold. Too far from Spring and a lot of time indoor. But, we managed to do a few fun things. The kids were busy with their science fair this year. It was Austin's first. They both enjoyed it and learned from it. Austin really enjoyed getting a medal at the end. Right at the end of February we finally got some good snow. Close to a foot when it was all over. It was the first time this winter that the kids got to really play in the snow outside and build some things. March will be a lot more fun. Austin is turning 7 on the 4th and Spring will finally be here. We look forward to spending more time outside and to wash our cars.

January 2013 Pictures!

For being January, we had a pretty fun month. Usually, during this time of the year we are locked in at home trying to stay warm or playing with the snow outside. But usually not much more than that. After recovering from the Broncos loss, we had a string of days in the 50Fs and 60Fs. We were able to take the kids to the park, go biking, wash our cars, and take the kids to a couple of fun places. One of them was Wings Over The Rockies, which it's an air force museum not too far away from where we are. They had some very cool exhibits, including a B-1 Stealth Bomber, an F-14 Tomcat, a Star W ars X Fighter that was used during one of the movies, and some real flight simulators. Austin specially had a blast. He is into airplanes now. The warm weather continues here in Denver, even into February. We can't wait until March, when Austin turns 7 and spring begins.

December 2012 Pictures

December was such a fun month. We finally started getting some snow, although not a lot. It is finally starting to look like winter around here. Jason turned 3 on December 18. This is probably the first birthday where he actually understood what was going on. He had quite like the list of presents he wanted too. He was happy with his new truck and his three-candle cake. The kids, of course, where counting the days down to Christmas. Everyone got some fun presents. We stayed home for Christmas this year again, and we were glad to do so. New Year was fun too. We continued our tradition of riding the train to downtown, having dinner in downtown, and then riding the train back home. The kids had a blast. It was very cold, so they enjoyed their hot chocolate once we got home. Have a happy 2013!

November 2012 Pictures!

November went very fast. It was very warm here in CO. We had more days in the 60-70s than in the Spring. We spent a lot of time at the park. Thanksgiving came and went very fast too. We decided to stay home and take it easy this year. It was very nice. We also decided to break with tradition and grilled some stakes instead of having turkey. The weather was too nice to pass and waste it cooking a turkey all day. Austin started to loose some of his baby teeth too. Once the first one went, another got wiggly and fell as well. Now he is about to loose the 2 upper front teeth, so he will have a nice gap in his smile. We look forward to December. We have Jason's birthday on the 18th, Ariel and JoLynn's anniversary on the 22nd, and of course Christmas and New Year later on.

October 2012 Pictures!

October is always a fun month. We had our first couple snow storms, which was early but expected. Most of the leaves are gone from the trees. But the weather was pretty warm all things considered. Of course, Halloween was a lot of fun. The kids were very much into it. We had a trunk-or-treat at the church a few days before Halloween, and the the real thing on Oct 31. It was like 60F the night of Halloween, so we didn't have to rush to get back home and avoid freezing like in previous years. The kids got lots of candy and it looks like they will be eating that through Christmas. We had a couple of birthdays in October as well. JoLynn's on the 24th and Ariel's on the 29th. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and more snow in November. Time is flying.
